Case Study - Coorong District Council
Undertaking an evaluation of existing ICT environment and looking to alternative options to achieve better service levels.
- Coorong District Council is located around 150 kilometres south east of Adelaide and is geographically the largest Council in South Australia, covering more than 8,800 km2. Council provides services to a community of more than 5,500 people from its three offices in Tailem Bend, the commercial centre of the region, Meningie and Tintinara.
- Council decided to undertake an evaluation of a selected number of ICT Services vendors following a period of dissatisfaction with the service levels provided by their existing provider.
- Council gave careful consideration to several service provider vendors to meet the key criteria of stable and reliable performance and high quality service levels.
- With Council’s offices spread between 50km and 100km apart, the ability to provide reliable and consistent delivery across all three offices had been identified as a critical business need.
